Luxottica Helps Hurricane Victims

Luxottica North America has doubled down on its efforts to respond to the recent Hurricanes that have destroyed areas of Texas, Florida and Puerto Rico.  The company contributed $75,000 to support the AOA’s Optometry Disaster Relief Fund and the funds will be granted to ECPs who apply and were directly impacted by Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, Maria and Jose.  For the month of September, Luxottica will also donate 100% of proceeds from the sale of its Oakley Fuel Cell and Gascan models, which feature the Texas state flag, to the AOA’s Relief Fund, providing more of the much-needed funding to ECPs in the area.  For Hurricane Harvey victims in particular, Luxottica made a $10,000 donation to COAT, the Certified Opticians Association of Texas which will go directly to help opticians who were severely impacted in Houston.  For its wholesale customers in all affected areas, Luxottica is offering additional support with special commercial terms and support packages.  Customers should contact their sales rep for more details on this.  Finally, OneSight, supported by Luxottica, has been distributing eyewear vouchers to people in need at evacuee locations, which can be used for a complete pair of prescription glasses at local LensCrafters.
