Have you ever wanted to see how frames are made?
American-made luxury eyewear is finally a reality with STATE Optical Co. by Europa. STATE frames are manufactured by IEM (the factory born from the partnership between Europa, Marc Franchi and Jason Stanley of Frieze Frames) in its brand new, state-of-the-art eyewear factory housed in Europa's new company headquarters. Over 35 steps, many by hand, go into every STATE frame produced in Chicago. Come see how it's done. Come meet American frame artisans. Come be a part of revitalizing American frame craftsmanship.
With a partnership with the Opticians Association of America (OAA), Europa is offering travel grants to visit and tour their new manufacturing facility in Chicago. Dates currently available for the tour are Friday, October 23, 2015 and Friday, November 15, 2015.
OAA will provide up to $500 per visitor. The funds are available on a limited basis, so it is first come first served. Do not miss out on this great opportunity. The tour will take place in the afternoon and Europa will be taking the group to dinner in the evening.
